Kind of blue
Finally, my trilby deigns to agree with my outfit. This stands as my interpretation of the Miles Davis look .
Sweater, Giordano; thrifted shirt, Dunhill; pants, Human; laceups, Marlboro Classics; thrifted tie, Leonard; trilby, Zara
Miles Davis's album 'Kind of Blue' consists of the following songs: 'So What', 'Freddie Freeloader', 'Blue in Green', 'All Blues', and 'Flamenco Sketches'. Read more about The Jazz Age in an article I wrote about the golden era of the genre in the twenties.
GQ Style: Refresher
I know it's June already and legitimately, Manila is in the rainy season. But summer was so short, and anticipation to wear out my shorts, too long!

Cardigan, shirt, tie: all Dunhill; zip-off shorts, Siv Stoldal; shoes, G-Star
Too much word play, I know, but I can't help it. It's been raining elephants and horses the past few days. Even the sun on this lazy Sunday is unsure, if not untrue.
Jacket and vest: both Paul Smith; trousers, Y-3; shoes, Lanvin; sunglasses, Persol
I know the weather can't please everyone. Sometimes, even I am grateful for the cool—enough reason to bring out some jackets.
Shirt and tie: both Alexander McQueen; trousers, YMC; shoes, Tom Ford
And maybe something like this?
I sure miss the good lighting, the warmness of hues that can't help but lift ones spirits.
Jacket, shirt, tie, trousers: all Thom Browne; sunglasses, from a selection: Prada
Summer come back!
Shirt, Dries Van Noten; tie, Hardy Amies London; trousers, Diesel
I'm not yet done playing.
Jacket and shorts: both Marc by Marc Jacobs; shirt and tie: both Hardy Amies London; socks, Falke; hi-tops, Pierre Hardy
Haven't had enough beach time and simply lying in the shade.
Polo shirt, V-neck jumper, trousers: all Ralph Lauren Purple Label; sunglasses, Persol
But if needs must be, I'll settle even for just an hour each day with no clouds in the sky, with the leaves not weighed down by anything.
Too much gloom is unhealthy!

Grabbing the bull by the horns
Or buffalo, if you will. Since I chose to wear this buffalo plaid shirt last week as a jacket.
I have finally stopped dithering and decided on the design course I want to pursue, and am very excited with the prospects. I don't want to jinx anything, so I won't reveal the details until they are final.
I think it makes sense, since I love working with my hands and seeing first-hand the fruits of my labor. I can also work on more kinds of materials: the main aspect of fashion that first drew me to it.
I think it is better to tuck just one leg of your pants into your boots...
Oh and a little note on the buffalo shirt: it is actually for women, got it from the thrift store. It was missing a button, but when I was about to have one sewed in I discovered that the exposure works.
Wish me luck! And as with anything, lots of patience.
Dunhill shirt, I.P. zone buffalo shirt, satin necktie, Timberland boots, Property of… tote: all thrifted; jeans, Calvin Klein Jeans; belt, Izzue

Nightcrawler
Almost sleepless nights as of late, making necklaces. Thanks for all those who ordered and have stuff pending (already sent to Hong Kong, some pending for Chicago).
So today I decided not to wear any of my creations and look back — as I've been doing for recent posts (this is a diary, after all). This is the same place where I asked my friend and official photographer Trish to take my first semi-decent cameo.
And here I am again, under lamplight and insomniac buildings, beside a half-busy street, at approximately the same hour. There was a time when I preferred to disappear into a crowd. I think it still holds though, blog and all.
