Joshua Kissi from Street Etiquette

I stumbled on Street Etiquette via Joshua Kissi's Lookbook page. He is quite popular on the outfit site. He and Travis Gumbs are the gentlemen behind the blog.

There's an important lesson to be learned from Joshua's outifts: you can be simple yet strikingly stylish by the use of color contrasts.

He deals with solids, giving them subtle accents through his accessories.

I've yet to go through the entirety of the duo's site. But gauging from the most recent pages, I think there are many interesting things packed in the posts. I especially like the New York City entries, where one gets a feel of the city — where the buildings, streets, and people are not just backgrounds for street style photos. A real photo diary.

Last but not the least: I hope I can someday pull off red jeans like Joshua does. Definitely dope.

Besides being stylish, Nouk is quite the vintage expert. The secret, of course, is to mix the old, the new, and the handmade.

His images show how he has used self-portraits to show various personalities.

Meet Von B. from Berlin and Evan P. from Selondon, also from Lookbook.

Not only do they look as if they're wearing the same pair, they also have the same expression on their faces, the same demure anticipation in their fingers.

The guy is yet another Lookbook style savant.

Gustav Broström from Stockholm

Gustav appears again on Stockholm Street Style, after being spotted by Scott Schuman.

What's more, we discover that he also blogs for a site called Mode Man.



I especially like his entry on biker boots. Besides that, he has good catalogue-like selections on specific items, looks constructed from separate pieces, notes on editorials, and even street shoots.



This is him with punk hair inspired by Hedi Slimane.

Lookbook lowdown: Six different looks

Here are six very different personalities I've stumbled upon on Lookbook, while waiting for other computer programs to load. First up is Kyle Milo from Calgary, who demonstrates for us how monochrome can be dramatic with the perfect fit.




Bobby Raffin, on the other hand, takes us back two decades on a gold and multi-color memory trip.




Joona Worlin makes a black comeback on this blog, boots scraping gray gravel.





Good thing Mog Edwards takes thing less seriously, while still keeping prim and preppy. He's from Liverpool.




Alexander Garland, from Illinois, also knows how to accessorize, not mention make street both hip and chic.




Last but not the least is Karol Te, who plays things just right. Very clean and simple, but with a kick.

Nick Emilian G from Recklinghausen

Nick G is a 19-year-old student from Germany.




With just his tees, tanks, and occasional shirts and coats — with no need for embellishment — he is able to express the inexpressible.

In my eyes fashion is the best way to express who you are without speaking. I just want to inspire the unwilling and prove the doubtful wrong.




From the silence, you can almost read the things that he thinks, tell what he wants to be, maybe even sense some history.




Of course, I may only be over-interpreting.




It may really just be his fantastic side-swiped hair or his steady gaze.




But you get the feeling from whatever he's wearing that he is exactly where he should be.




There is neither excess nor hunger.




Of course, there is playfulness now and then, but in a spread — at the moment at least — that is merely part of the finer print.
