Salvatore Ferragamo's macramé sweater

I rarely use the word, but I think this piece from Salvatore Ferragamo's Spring 2009 collection, is simply delicious.

Although its appearance from the runway to a new editorial by Numéro Homme brings the sweater closer to reality, I still wonder exactly how one would style it for day-to-day use. I'm thinking it may be good to wear it over a sheer collarless shirt that is slightly longer.





Also amazing are Ferragamo's updates on the ruffled shirt. The first one looks like a native fruit with fabric sunbursts.



They look like bleached costumes for a fiesta.



The buttons on this next sweater look as big as the seeds of a large fruit. The beige jacket is architectural enough for a stylish weekend tent.

Nothing is what it seems in this editorial, where items are used other than what they are intended for. Like this "safety" pin brooch "piercing" an eyebrow.
