As I suppose many of those who saw the show at Pittu Uomo in Florence were surprised, so was I intrigued when I first looked at the brilliant flashes of color at Jil Sander's Spring 2011 show. The contrast with past collections was so stark that reactions were instantly divided. Of course, those that were pleasantly shocked welcomed rainbow blood on the catwalk.
The question is: where to tone down and where to retain the blinding boldness?
