Wear your bling on your sleeve

Or rather, on your jacket's bust, lapels, and shoulders. Here is an ingenious way of going military without resorting to epaulets.

Yellow floral pants for men

Who says Jane Aldridge can have all the fun?



Leave gold embroidery for women, but men can always partake of bold floral prints, even in yellow and especially in the summer. Reminds me of the huge flower design shirts by Tommy Hilfiger in the 90s.

While Jane has accessoried using colors from her pants, this gentleman uses two shirts for that purpose, and a scarf with a red base color as accent. Key to his outfit is that when rolled up, his pants show a white underside, which eases the transition from loud florals to unassuming Chucks.

Silent shoes by Damir Doma

When it comes to shoes like these, it is hard to restrain oneself from using words only meant for cuisine, such as delectable and delicious.




Who can help it when these mid leather sneakers designed by Damir Doma for the Silent line are made of distressed leather dyed to achieve an effect so sumptuous that one can't help but imagine touching the grain.




In fact rubbing it to test their visual rubberyness that goes so well with gummy soles.

I love the irregular curves the softness of the leather gives the pair. And of course, that horizontal line across the foot rendered in a different texture is just genius. Enough to fill my plate.

Shoe blues: Yuketen vs Quoddy

Trust Yuketen to put an interesting twist to a reliable classic. I don't think I've seen deck shoes in this hue of blue, which looks like a vibrant cobalt with a tinge of cerulean. And there is also something almost imperceptibly unique about the shape itself of the pair. Can you tell?




Quoddy's suede moccasins are closer to cerulean. This Blucher model looks so soft, they remind you of the handsewn provenance of moccasins. Beautiful jagged detailing at the back.
