Paradigm Shift: Pure

Pure, Paradigm Shift's latest collection, is their best yet.




Twin tanks, which can be worn in both ways.




The concept cannot be any clearer, or simpler.






Paper, which can be a shirt or a vest.




But don't the creases haunt you?




Tent.




The fabric used for Pure is soft and delicate, almost looks windswept.




Worn for everyday outfits, I think the fragile pieces will look best paired with tough denim.




With this collection, Paradigm Shift has turned the page.




In white light one can see everything. No difference between reality and dreams.

Paradigm Shift

These images from the first editorial of Paradigm Shift, designed by my friends Karl Leuterio and Mike Magallanes, could have come from a dream sequence.




The flowy fabrics and the goth details deepen a noir undertone.




From dreams, the pictures rise as if from the underworld.




Would you wear these clothes? Definitely, they deviate from the norm, but once the shadows are lifted I think they would be perfect for aimless city wanderings: easy comfort in the merciless metropolis.

At a Bosquejo shoot, with Paradigm Shift

A quick snap at last Monday's shoot for the Hardware lookbook of Bosquejo accessories. Hanging on the rack are some pieces from Paradigm Shift's latest collection, Pure.

Gray death, part 2

As promised, here are more photos from yesterday, starting with the other OS necklaces on sale.

Clockwise from top: scapula necklace modeled after an animal spine, catskull necklace, bone tie necklace, cartilage necklace, crossbones necklace (which I got), spine necklace (which I want, but I have asked them to reduce the pieces and expose more chain)




The catskull necklace has bolts screwed in.




I want to wear them with either a black- or white-based outfit. Though a colorful ensemble with a beige accent would be workable as well.

Gray death, part I

Was at the Coachella at Rockwell bazaar this evening. Today, Sunday, is the event's last day, so make sure to pass by later for some good finds. One of mine is this shredded scarf by Paradigm Shift, which can be worn as a cowl, or as a veil if you're into that.

My second find is this chicken bone necklace (made of resin and silver) by OS. The pieces are molded from the bones of different animals (kangaroos, cats, chickens…).




Here is the normal way of wearing a scarf, though of course the shredded fabric is sure to give one a more unique experience.

It was a coincidence that I was wearing monochromatic gray and donning a tee with the word "death" embroidered on it. Had lots of fun with designer/blogger friends who made the pieces. Have more pictures, but I really have to sleep. Will post them in a few hours. Just thought you'd want to know, so you can still catch the bazaar.

森 ボーイ (Mori Boy)

I am not familiar with Mori Boy, but just going through the images in this editorial, it is not difficult to glean something about the character, his story. Kudos to the team behind it, rising talents that deserve greater exposure and more projects.
