It makes sense that the jika-tabi (tabi boots) - used by Japanese construction workers, farmers, gardeners, and other workers for the comfort they give - be crossed with the sneaker - Western casual footwear of choice.
It also comes as no surprise that Martin Margiela came up with such a brilliant and practical idea.
