Bosquejo in Garage magazine August-September 2011

New-Romantics-01

Even before July ended, I was already patiently waiting for Garage's third anniversary issue at the newsstands. I was that excited to see my Bosquejo necklaces in a men's mag. (They have previously surfaced on Meg and The Manila Bulletin.)

Stylist Andre Chang and photographer Rxandy Capinpin did not disappoint.

Philippe Escalambre (seated) wears the Gabrielle No II necklace from Bosquejo's Djinn collection. Vest, Gerry Katigbak; gloves, Ronaldo Arnaldo. JD Espinosa (standing) wears a scarf by Gerry Katigbak; black vest and gloves, Drei Soriano; gray inner vest, M Barretto.

Dark-Fortress-01

Sadly, none of my pieces was credited to Bosquejo (only to "Miguel Paolo Celestial" and "Anthology", one of my stockists). It is sad since a lot goes into branding, and when it comes to magazine editorials, that seemingly negligible space for credits is everything for small designers.

Happy third anniversary, Garage magazine*!

*For those of you who remember, I was part of Garage magazine when I started this blog three years ago. I was the contributing editor for its first three issues, before I left.
