H&M Dresses

Yesterday I was a bit stir crazy in my apartment so I decided to get out for a bit. I spent the afternoon people watching and enjoying a grande soy hot chocolate and a huge piece of coffee cake. After that I amused myself by trying on some dresses at H&M. Note to self: next time try on dresses before the snacking.

First up was this strapless dress. I loved the simple cut and color (black is always going to be my first choice I think). It has pockets which is a definite plus. The problem was breathing, something I am quite fond of. I understand a strapless number needs to be tight as to not fall down, but I could barely move in this. NEXT!

The H&M in my town does not carry any of the Trend line - mostly the Divided line and what I refer to as the "business casual" section. That's where I was surprised to find this dress. I love the mod style and the simple color palette of black and cream. It would be better if it had pockets and was about four inches shorter. I'm not a fan of the "to the knee" length but since I found with all the other businessy clothes I guess they were making it office appropriate.

Last, I tried on the dress that everyone seems to be talking about. They did not have it in my size so I tried it on several sizes too big just to get an idea for it. I have to say I was not instantly in love with it but I didn't realize before picking it up it is one of their $19 dresses. I figured it was going to have a $40 price tag at least. The fabric is super light and silky and for $19, if I ever find it in my size, I could see giving it a go.
